7/18/10: Congratulations to the 9/10, 11/12 and Junior girls for all winning District 1 Championships. The 11/12 Girls advance directly to the state tournament hosted by State Park. The 9/10 and Junior girls advance to sectional play this week.

7/5/10: 9-10 Boys win game 1 v/s Portage1 9-2. Justin Bachman hits a 3 run homerun. Next game will be Wednesday 7/7 at 530.
7/7/10: 9-10 Boys win game 2 v/s Longfellow 18-0.
Nick Mullen hit his first ever home run, a three run shot. Next game will be Friday 7/9 at 530pm v/s Portage.
7/6/10: 11-12 Boys win game 1 v/s Portage Nationals 10-0, Garrett Swanson picked up the win on the mound. Next game will be Saturday 7/10 at 10am v/s Steel City.
7/10/10: State Park 11-12 Boys defeated Steel City Gary 10-0. Jack Mullen hit a two run homerun and the win on the mound. SPLL is 2-0 in pool play. The next game is Wednesday, July 14th 8pm at Lake Station v/s South Haven.
7/11/10: The 9/10 Boys were defeated by Hobart (The eventual district champions) 18-4. Monday Night's championship game Hobart 8 Union Township 4.
7/13/10: The 9U Tournament team wins game 1 of the Valpo Tournament. The boys scraped out a 5-4 victory. They went into the bottom of the 6th inning down 4-1. The boys loaded the bases and Kolton Cardenas stepped up with a walk off triple to win the game. The next game is Wednesday at 5:30 in Valpo v/s Portage.
7/13/10: The junior boys opened all star play dropping a close game tonight 2-0 v/s Valpo. The boys play again Saturday at 10am in South Haven.
7/14/10:11/12 Boys defeated South Haven 10-0. Patrick Arndt earned the win on the mound. Merrillville turned over a forfeit to bring the boys to a 4-0 record in pool play, outscoring their opponents 36-0. Elimination round begins Saturday, July 17th, 2:00pm at Lakes of the Four Seasons, opponent has yet to be determined.
7-19-2010:
The 11 & 12 baseball team was eliminated from the Tournament with a 6-3 loss to Portage American, July 13, at LOFS.
